I get there were some layups for Player of the Week, but I didn't want to do a repeat with Vladdy, who statistically was the best player this past week. I thought about Judge, although he had a game this week where he had a 'Golden Sombrero' with 4 K's. Some guys didn't have enough AB's for me to count it, which left me with the best thirdbaseman in baseball, J-ram. He had a great week, slugging FIVE homers, and providing more offense than some entire teams did this week.

Abreu might be the most under-appreciated player in the ENTIRE LEAGUE. He isn't even the most popular rookie on his team, yet leads all rookies in OPS on the year. There might be more fun players on the Red Sox, but Abreu is simply a ballplayer. He has had a consistent year all around, and it does make me happy that he was the best performing rookie this week.

Boy, did I chose the wrong week to do Blake Snell. Like I said previously, I don't want to do repeat players, but I could have here. Instead, I'll show some love to a starter who is having a very sneaky great year. Manaea had a terrific outing, amung many terrific outings within the past few months. Interesting to see how much of an impact a guy like Manaea will have if this team makes a postseason push.
