Apologies for there being no blog post last week. technical difficulties.
(11-2) W10
As far as the best team in the league, I wish I could make it a 3-way tie between my top 3 teams. I think the Patriots the best case for number 1 though, with 10 straight wins. Can't argue with a team that is both hot and very strong offensively and defensively.
(9-3) W2
The Seahawks are a right guard away from being the most complete roster in the league. This defense is not one you want to go to Seattle to face when it comes playoff time.
(9-3) L1
The Rams got caught by the Panthers in a shocking upset. Does that mean the Rams are bad? Not even close. They will bounce back, and they are still a top dog. Now, if the losses start stacking for some reason, then alarms will be sounded.
(10-2) W9
The problem with playing bad teams close, is when it comes time to play good teams, they won't make as many mistakes, and all it takes is one less turnoever here and there, and it's a different outcome. The offense needs to pull their weight.
(8-4) W1
I don't understand why not many others aren't high on the Bills. Sure, they have had bad games this year, but do you really want to play this team in January? Especially if the Chiefs are off the board? In terms of issues, their defense has VASTLY improved all around, and it's not talked about enough. They were missing their two tackles against the Steelers, and you could hardly tell.
(8-3-1) W3
Alright, I'll admit, i've been too low on this team. They are simply frustrating to watch, but they finally put it together on Thanksgiving.
(9-3) W5
The Chicago Bears are the current 1 seed in the NFC. Bears fans have to be dreaming. It's a complete roster, and I can really only see them going up from here.
(9-4) W3
They are playing good football, and people need to look past the injuries they have had this year. Their offense is good, and the young guys on defense are clearly stepping up.
(8-4) L2
I still like this team, but when facing two tough opponents the past two weeks, they haven't closed it out like they should. Have to do that when it comes playoff time.
(7-5) W4
The Texans are hot, and if they get a win over the Chiefs on Sunday night football, they might get the satisfaction of essentially eliminating them from the playoffs.
(8-4) L2
The offense is bad. The passing offense is bad, Jalen Hurts is making bad decisions, and Saquon has been extremley underwhelming this season. The defense is alright, but with the offenses in the NFC, they aren't standing a chance.
(7-5) L1
The wheels are falling off. The Lions are on the outside looking in, and it's going to be tough for them from here on out. Don't be shocked if the Cowboys get them on Thursday night.
(8-4) W3
The Jags have a clear recipie for success, and it is working quite well.
(8-4) W1
I am stuck in a turmoil with this team, where at times they loook awful, but at times I trust Harbaugh to make it work. They have a tough stretch to end the year.
(7-6) W1
Maybe the biggest win in terms of what it does for the franchise for any team this season. This is a massive statement win. If you don't think this team can win the division, put this in perspective: The Rams beat the brakes off of the Bucs, and the Panthers just beat the Rams.
(6-5-1) W3
Don't let this team get hot. The offense is probably the most dangerous passing offense in the league, and the defense is improving, and plays nice complimentary football to the passing offense.
(6-6) L1
The Chiefs are in 'win-out' mode. They will have to do so without some starting offensive linemen.
(6-6) W1
It's time to be worried about the Bucs here. They aren't scary on offense like they were earlier in the year. The defense is solid, but it isn't anything to hang your hat on. There was a universe where they lost to the Cardinals and are no longer atop the division.
(6-6) L1
I understand Burrow is back, but it's just a game that you can't afford to lose, knowing you have tougher opponents going forward.
(6-6) L2
The question remains, is Tomlin the issue? They are clearly mediocre, but there could be a number of reasons why they have been mediocre for so long, but only Tomlin has been there the whole time. Take that as you will.
(3-9) L4
Unironically this may be the best 3-9 team i've ever seen. Super competitive team.
(4-8) W1
Good to know Burrow is still that guy.
(5-7) W3
It goes without saying, but this is a super fraudulent 5-7, I wouldn't be threatened by any part of this team.
(4-8) L4
Gotta feel bad for Brosmer. Filling in as an undrafted rookie against a top 3 defense is not a fair task whatsoever.
(3-9) L7
That was pretty competitive for a 3-9 team. The type of game to show that there is still the structure here for them to bounce back next year.
(3-9) L7
No words.
(2-11) L7
Jaxson Dart DOES need to learn to slide, despite his testaments. Football isn't worth the potential life-threatining injuries and problems you will face after your career.
(2-10) L5
Sanders is lowkey not too bad through 2 starts. Don't think they should build around him though.
(3-9) W1
I mean just tank at this point. No point in going and winning that game.
(2-10) L2
Sad to see the Saints franchise go this way post-Brees.
(2-10) L6
In all fairness, the offense looked marginally better without Chip Kelly.
(1-11) L7
You tried!
