CONS:

DAY 3 GRADE
I think Capehart was a really nice piece for the Clemson Tigers, and put up pretty good numbers. However, I think he often plays too tall, often leading him to not gain much ground in the pass rush. Nonetheless, I believe in the run game he has a good initial burst off the line, and will anchor himself on offensive lineman allowing Linebackers to make a play. I think there is some value in picking Capehart.
2023 STATS:

PROS:
Block shedding
Instinctive
Burst
CONS:
Suddenness
Plays too small
DAY 3 GRADE
Rogers contains a good block shed move, and is very instinctive as a pass rusher. I think for an interior defensive lineman, he is more pass-rusher than run defender, which is rare. He has good burst off the line and can be disruptive. I think if he played bigger and more laterally, he could be a better run defender on top.

PROS:

Point of attack
CONS:

Early down only
DAY 3 GRADE
Jefferson has a purpose, to clog holes on early downs against the run. It seems specific, and a little niche, but that is what he is designed for, perfectly. I don't like him on later downs due to his chase and tackling effort. He is still a good run defender on later downs, but with more pass protection and a lack of pass rush ability, he is a little limited.

CONS:

Point of attack
DAY 3 GRADE
Smith is almost the opposite of his LSU counterpart, where he is not as great at the point of attack and engaging with several blockers. I think his burst and motor is valuable to play a lot of downs and more opportunities to use his length to make plays against the run.
2023 STATS:

PROS:
Freak
Burst
Instinctive
CONS:
Scheme specific
Raw
DAY 3 GRADE
Hall has freakish height and a freakish wingspan, with some really good burst off the line. That alone will make defensive coordinators happy, but only some. He is pretty scheme specific in terms of his success, and even then, he is pretty raw. However, his upside is pretty high for a defensive tackle.

PROS:

CONS:

Project player
DAY 3 GRADE
Harris is another project player, but more or less just for the pass rush, as he is relatively polished against the run. I like his burst, and his ability to wrap up ball carriers consistently. A team can definitely work on his pass rush and make it develop into something really good.
2023 STATS:

PROS:

Heavy hands
CONS:

DAY 3 GRADE
Lovett is very versatile in terms of where he can play on the defensive line, and has strong heavy hands to move lineman. He has a good motor to do this pretty consistently, however lacks the ability to track down ball carriers and wrap them up.

DAY 3 GRADE
Logue comes from a factory of elite defensive tackles, and he isn't quite as versatile as the guys that came before him. He does have a great get-off technique that works consistently in both the run and pass game. He has a huge frame, and can make some plays, just not the splash players made before him at Georgia.

PROS:

CONS:

DAY 3 GRADE
Briggs has incredible hands, as they are easily his best trait, and it helps him in both the run and pass game. He is great in space, as he doesn't miss any tackles, but he does heavily rely on his hands due to his short arms. I'm not too sure how well that will translate in the league, but I have faith it will.

DAY 3 GRADE
Logan Lee may end up being an edge player, as he lacks physicality and the ability to anchor an offensive lineman on the interior, which isn't standard for the position. I think he has a lot of pass rush upside, as he has a good motor and is quick and moves really well, but he doesn't have much tape from the edge, mainly from the interior.
2023 STATS:

CONS:

DAY 3 GRADE
Anderson was a shock on film to me, as he was not very easily moved, and would just suffocate the offense many times throughout a game. On a good day, Anderson will control the running game, and collapse the pocket in the passing game. However, he is inconsistent, and doesn't move well laterally. However, I think the strengths are too good to pass up on.

DAY 3 GRADE
Carter is a standard pass rushing defensive tackle, as he has good technique to work with in the NFL, and with his build, he can effectively become a good pass rusher. Nothing really stands out in terms of a high ceiling, but I believe he also has a decently high floor.

DAY 3 GRADE
Tyler Davis has some really admirable traits, as he has good burst to shoot the interior gaps, and wrap up ball carriers. I think he can do this on a consistent level, and can be a starter in the NFL. I think he struggles and tries to hard to make a play when he is double teamed, and can clear a big path for the ball carrier, but some coaching can fix that.

DAY 2 GRADE
Wingo has the technique to play DT at an NFL level, and also has a strong core to not be easily moved by lineman. His strongest ability is his punch move he uses in both the run and pass game, which is highly effective. He does have shorter arms, so he may not play great towards the edge, but I do like Wingo as a prospect a lot.

DAY 2 GRADE
Taylor probably projects more of a defensive end in 4-3, as he is taller, and plays tall and raw. However, he compliments it by playing quick and instinctive. He closes gaps between ball carriers and is an exxcellent tackler. Good athlete, makes plays, but might need the right landing spot to take advantage of his traits.

Hall Jr is awesome, because he is a 3-down lineman, which is a trait I personally like. He has some good pass rush skills on top of that, which combined could lead to some pretty good numbers in the NFL. I like his motor, but it doesn't really translate to his burst and first step, which can be coached. Hall Jr is a Day 2 prospect in my eyes.

Orhorhoro has a lot of textbook traits for an interior defensive tackle. I like his length and instincts, as combined he can make some standout plays. Being a little longer, he falls victim to some cut blocks, but I believe his motor makes him more valuable.

Jackson jumps off the tape as a smart and crafty player. He always seems to know when to make a play and when not to, which is something that you don't see often. He can bat balls at the line of scrimmage, and is athletic enough to make plays in the run defense. He is a little inconsistent when it comes to his motor on plays, and his pass rush is just okay, but I think he makes plenty of plays on tape to be a day 2 guy.

Jenkins was a huge peice on the Michigan defense that was so dominant this year. The main aspect I saw with him was his ability to instantly plug the B-gap against the run. It was a very valubale asset on the Michigan defense. He is good as a rush defender period, as he is a pretty good athlete for 305 lbs, but his pass rush certainly isn't as great. I like him on day 2 of the draft.

Sweat is just awesome to watch. He is almost a textbook defensive tackle, which is why he is so highly regarded. Don't worry, the tape backs it up too, as he eats double teams, and that alone makes him force to deal with. his sheer presence on the defensive line will be valuable to any team. He needs a little development, mainly in the passing game, but regardless, Sweat wouldn't be a suprise if he was selected in the first round.

Fiske is a little under the radar in terms of range he will go in the draft. He has the talent to be a end of the first round guy if a team wants him. He will collapse the pocket and push the lineman back regardless of if its a run or pass. He makes plays in both the pass game by overpowering and controlling the pocket, and in the run game, by having a quick first step and shooting gaps. I really like Fiske, as i'm shocked he's not getting as much hype as he deserves.

Newton is such a fascinating prospect, in all the right ways. He plays the interior defensive line like an edge pass rusher. He has a ton of good moves he can use throughout the duration of the game. He is definitely stronger in the pass rush game than as a run defender, but still pretty good at clogging running lanes. He is going to make his name known, and a lot of people have him as their #1 interior defensive lineman, which I can for sure respect.

Byron Murphy is a guy who is instantly going to make an impact on an NFL team, in the sense that his presence will be known in the pass game and run game. He makes plays, has incredibly strong hands, and will go all 3 downs, which is something that is valuable in the league. He also has a ton of pass rush upside, something that is the cherry on top. He will be a first round pick.
