POWER RANKINGS
1..PHILLIES +2
The Phillies have 6 players who have moved into the next round of all-star voting, and that's not including pitchers either. Ridiculous.
2. ORIOLES -1
The Orioles are only dropping simply because I feel like the Phillies have a healthier rotation. The Orioles had a great week
3. GUARDS +2
Steven Kwan might be one of the pure best hitters in the league right now, he is going absolutely nuts.
4. DODGERS --
Dodgers don't move, as Ohtani has another monster week, where he hit a 476 foot homer.
5. YANKEES -3
The wheels are falling off for the Yankees, and falling off quick. I think it's coming to peoples attention just how much Judge and Soto are carrying this team, as the rest of the lineup is very subpar, and the rotation is cracking hard.
6. BREWERS +1
Wait, how many grand slams did they hit this week?!?!
7. MARINERS -1
There is a very real chance that the Mariners will win the AL West, something they haven't done since 2001. Been a minute.
8. BRAVES --
They are sort of back on track. They feel like they are playing well, just a little uninspired.
9. PADRES +3
Wow are they hot, and so is Jackson Merrill. Machado is getting hot again, and all this with Tatis on the IL.
10. TWINS --
Buxton is sneakily playing really great ball right now.
11. ROYALS -1
I really hope the wheels don't fall off with the Royals, but I think the pitching is too strong for them to completely fall out of the playoff race.
12. CARDS -1
Cardinals didn't have a bad week at all, just jumped by the Padres. However, it is concerning how Arenado and Goldy are playing. Usually they would be on the other side of this slump, and it certainly doesn't feel like it.
13. RED SOX --
Jarren Durran is the 2nd best CF in the MLB (behind Judge).
14. METS +9
I had my doubts last week about the Mets, but they just raked off of really good pitchers and aces this week. I'm afraid to report that it is real.
15. ASTROS +1
The Astros had the best record in June, with a 17-8 record.
16. RAYS +1
I don't know what to think with this team. are they playing better? Yes. Am I confident in them? Not at all.
17. D BACKS -4
This team is going to be sellers, and that is a really depressing thought.
18. PIRATES +2
There have been rumors or ideas, that would involve the Pirates trading for Luis Robert. That would be awesome.
19. GIANTS --
--
20. RANGERS -5
The Rangers could be really good, but it's not all clicking at the same time yet. Langford hit the first cycle this year, which is very cool.
21. REDS --
--
22. CUBS -5
The rest of the NL Central feels like they are figuring it out, and the Cubs are losing it. The playoff hopes are dwindling if they can't start playing better ball stat.
23. NATS -1
James Wood makes his debut this week, and I am maybe the most excited i've been for a prospect fot awhile.
24. B JAYS +1
They move up a spot because the Tigers are falling apart, and Vladdy just had a monster week.
25. TIGERS -1
--
26. ANGELS --
27. A'S --
28. ROCKIES --
29. MARLINS --
30. WHITE SOX --
PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

Dare I say, the best week a Blue Jay has ever had? I don't think that's ridiculous, as he set records for RBIs and total bases. There was some concern for his overall outlook, after a dissapointing last year, and a slow start, but I think it's very easy to see that he has turned it around. This has been an awesome time to watch Vladdy, not so much for the Blue Jays.
Spencer Arrighetti
STATS:
7 IP
10 K

0 BB
0.30 FIP
Spencer Arrighetti might've had the best start this week, while also still being a rookie. Just an absolutley phenomenal start, only allowing 3 hits, striking out 10, and having the best FIP out of any pitcher this week. The Houston pitching lab may have produced another one.
Christopher Sanchez
STATS:
9 IP
9 K

1 CG ShO
This week there were 2 complete game shutouts, and that is something that is rare to have once a week. However, Sanchez had the slightly better start over Gavin Stone. 3 hits, and 0 walks?! Combo that with a healthy 9 strikeouts and that is clearly the best performance in my opinion.
Prospect Watch: Jacob Wilson
Across the MLB, power is the most sought after trait in hitters. Teams are constantly wanting the next Aaron Judge or Shohei Ohtani in terms of power. However, there have been some hitters who have brought the contact approach back, and are hitting for high averages in the .300's. Arreaz and Kwan are notable stars who are doing this, and are impacting and helping their surging teams succeed. Because while it is tgreat to be able to walk and slug, but you can also keep a high on base percentage by slapping singles constantly. Well, I think the Athletics have the next Arreaz and Kwan type of player, and he is somehow only the 51st ranked prospect. Jacob Wilson, who was drafted last year 6th overall, is soaring through the minors last year and this year. Here are his numbers at each respected level:

I would expect Wilson to raise up in the top 100 as it seems his numbers only are getting better, but he might get the call up to the bigs before that can happen. a 70 grade hit tool is something that not many teams would want to turn down, but as you can see from AA and AAA, his slugging numbers are getting better as well. Perhaps he is following a similar path to Steven Kwan, where they start out as a contact approach, and then develop the power later on in your career. I think Wilson will need to be a prospect that everyone should be familiar with, because when he gets called up and starts hitting .300, everyone is going to wonder where he came from and wonder why they didn't know who he was.
